Increased Precautions We're Taking in Response to the Coronavirus
As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Centers to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Centers.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services are being vetted and may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

CDC updates are consistently monitored to ensure that all guidance followed is based on the latest information released.

  • All staff has received infection prevention and control training.
  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance has been provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are being monitored and utilized.

Proudly serving the San Diego, California community, our methadone clinics provide adults struggling with addiction the ability to recover from heroin, oxycodone, Percocet, and other opiates.

Our Therapeutic Treatments

Therapeutic Treatments for Opioid Abuse

At San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Centers, we know that overcoming a dependence upon opioids involves more than merely suppressing cravings and alleviating painful withdrawal symptoms. When a person has become addicted to morphine, prescription painkillers, heroin, or other opioids, effective treatment must address the emotional and psychological factors that either contributed to or have been impacted by substance abuse. Attempting to treat addiction by focusing only on a patient’s physical symptoms significantly reduces the likelihood that the treatment will be effective or that recovery, if achieved at all, will be long-lasting. For these reasons, the dedicated professionals who work at San Diego Treatment Centers provide comprehensive care that incorporates both medication assisted treatment services and therapeutic interventions.

Our Therapeutic Interventions

Therapeutic Interventions for Opioid Abuse

It is difficult to overestimate the effect that untreated emotional turmoil or psychological distress can have on a person’s ability to overcome an addiction to opioids. Achieving long-term recovery is dependent upon identifying and developing solutions to deal with all underlying issues and co-occurring disorders. Neglecting this essential component in addiction treatment makes it much less likely that the addicted individual will be able to make the lifestyle changes that are necessary to resist relapse triggers and maintain sobriety. To best prepare our patients to live healthy drug-free lives, we ensure that their mental health needs are attended to via a variety of therapeutic opportunities, including the following:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy

Therapy at San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Centers is provided by experienced and compassionate counselors who have been specifically trained to provide this essential support to men and women who are struggling with opioid abuse and addiction. Because treatment at our five centers is personalized according to the unique needs of each person who chooses to heal with us, the types of therapy that each patient receives and the frequency with which he or she receives these services will depend upon his or her specific treatment plan.
